Welcome to the Colby Blue Book. A survival guide for students of color. This website is designed in hopes of helping Colby students of color find their way around Colby. I know it can be lonely at times and it is hard to imagine someone going through the same thing that you are going through right now, but I guarantee that many students have felt or are currently feeling what you are feeling. I hope this website brings comfort to those who need it. 12 upperclassmen from the 2023-2024 school year were interviewed. Our student interviewers came from a range of backgrounds including some being athletes, STEM and Humanities majors, as well as having ethnic background roots from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, East and Southeast Asians, and the United States. These students have accomplished so many things and are here to tell you how they were able to navigate their way through Colby. I hope you get to relate to at least one of these students and learn a few things or two. You will learn many things including some mental health strategies, how to over come racial interactions, Colby's racial history, and comfortable locations both off and on campus. I hope you enjoy it!
